The first step of having a successful rebound is to box out your player. Like I said in the beginning, when you box out the offensive player, you have a better chance of rebounding the ball. " If you don't box out your opponent she has a chance to slip inside you and get first try at the ball" (126).
for the second step, you need to be able to go up for the ball after the ball hits the rim, Like I also said in the beginning, to be able to get the rebound, you need to know when to get it, and you need to get it when the ball hits the rim. " Timing is critical in rebounding. Jump a second early or late and you're not going to get the ball"( 128). . Also when rebounding the ball make sure to hold the ball tight so no one steals it.
Question: rebounding is really easy for me against shorter girls. But when it comes to taller girls, not as quite as easy. How do you rebound against a tall person? and how do you box them out?

Hello, Sharon. I like your blog post on rebounding. I agree with you that it is the most important thing for a defender on the team. I was a bit curious and I want to ask you a question, What position are you on in your basketball team.
