Drawing 5: Trees

Drawing Tress

As I continued  to read through the book Basic Drawing by Louis Priscilla the next lesson was trees and landscape. To me drawing trees seemed to be hard but after reading what Priscilla had to say I understand more on how to draw trees. "Notice that branches grow out in different directions. North, South, East, and West (104).So attempted to draw a tree below. First I tried to to draw the basic figure of a tree.

Here is the basic figure of a tree.
I next drew a tree using detail by adding by adding leaves and giving it a more tree like shape. According to the Author of my book every form regardless of its shape is affected by light (104). so i used this in making the top of the leaves whiter to seem as if light was hitting them.
Here I drew a more detailed tree.

After reading this section of my book I understand more on how to draw tress, landscape and the environment. I also learned how to observer and draw things from the outdoors, so now I can draw thing like trees and other stuff found outdoors. A question that I have for you is what do you think That I should learn to  draw next?
