10 Easy Exercises You Can Do Anywhere

Dr. Joel Fuhram, the author of The End Of Diabetes  Understands that in modern life, it can be hard to eat healthy or exercise for some people due to their schedule or other things that may be going on in their life. He lists out 10 easy exercises that you can do almost anywhere.

Dr. Fuhram states "These short intervals make it easy to fit in the schedule of our everyday life, and allow us to quickly build up stamina"(Fuhram 163)

1. Walk briskly
2. Dance
3. Make believe jump rope
4. Get up and down from your chair multiple times
5. Walk up and down stairs
6. Jumping jacks
7. Rise up and down from your toes
8. Hop around the room in a circle
9. Jog in place
10. Stand on one leg and reach forward

He came up with these mainly for "older people who could not exercise regularly due to their schedule."(Fuhrman164) Knowing that he tried to figure out things that could be done inside your home.

I decided to try a few and see if they actually felt like exercise. For me the stairs were the hardest if I tried to run up and down them. Make believe jump rope was also a good workout.

I wouldn't recommend these in place of other harder activities, but they are better than nothing and provide people who cant commit a large amount of time a exercise that they can do in the comfort of their own home.

What small changes can you make to your everyday life that will benefit your health?
