Ride Like the Wind

Aerodynamics are crucial if you want to ride like the wind. When biking you always have wind pushing against you, and it is very easy to notice. To get to the best aerodynamics you first need to, "Streamline your body by narrowing your arms and shoulders and lowering your upper body (bend those elbows). And bring your knees closer to the top tube while pealing to minimize your profile" (Pavelka 113).


When you do this you don't feel that full effect of the wind pushing directly into my chest, this makes the ride much easier and more comfortable. Another way is when using an aero bar, this bar has has curved ends coming out the front and back underneath. When you use these the bars bring your elbows and shoulders down and together (Pavelka 114). I personally don't have one of these pars but when I have used friends bars they were very beneficial but very different to get used to.
