How to Make: The Swashbuckler

The Swashbuckler

the instructions for this paper airplane were somewhat difficult but the end product would fly through the sky like a majestic eagle, and its flight pattern was irregular but sometimes I felt that the plane had a mind of its own

Step 1: fold one of the corners so it looks like a triangle at the top, it does not matter what corner you fold

Step 2: fold the opposite corner so it make a triangle on the other side

Step 3: "You should now have a big creased X in your paper"
fold the top down so the corners line up with the bottom of the X

Step 4: flip the paper over and press the middle of the creased X until the sides 'jump' up

Step 5: bring the sides together and as the sides of the paper should fold inwards along the creases you already made

Step 6: pull one of the top layers of the big triangle folding the bottom left corner to the top

Step 7: do the same for the other side and fold the bottom right corner of the top layer to the top of the triangle

Step 8: fold the airplane in half

Step 9: fold the top of the plane to the base of the top triangle and make sure it is alined with the verticle creases

Step 10: fold in half one more time

Step 11: to make the wings, fold the sides down about an inch away from the spine, then fold the edges of the wing upwards

Step 12: take the paper airplane out for a spin and watch it soar through the sky
